Job summary

Mesabi Metallics Company LLC in Paducah, KY is seeking an experienced Project Coordinator – Direct Reduced Iron (DRI) to support planning, coordination, and execution of the DRI project. Reporting to the Project Director, you will coordinate engineering, procurement, construction, project controls, and commissioning activities.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in engineering or related technical discipline.
• 10–15 years of experience in large industrial capital projects.
• Experience coordinating EPC/EPCM project execution.
• Experience with DRI, steel, mining, metals, manufacturing, or heavy industry.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate engineering, procurement, construction, project controls, and commissioning activities throughout the DRI project lifecycle.
• Develop and maintain integrated project execution plans to support milestones and delivery objectives.
• Monitor progress and coordinate with stakeholders to ensure work stays on schedule and within budget.
• Facilitate communication across engineering disciplines, EPC contractors, consultants, procurement, construction management, and project controls.
• Identify execution risks, propose mitigations, and support issue resolution.
• Coordinate project meetings, track actions, and provide status updates to leadership.
• Ensure alignment between engineering, procurement, construction sequencing, and commissioning requirements.
• Support schedule reviews, cost monitoring, progress tracking, and performance reporting.
