Job summary

Qualifications

• Licensed practical nurse (LPN) or active Alabama licensure advantageous.
• Experience coding Medicare/DRG payer records in acute care settings.

Responsibilities

• Analyze Medicare/DRG payer records and assign ICD-10-CM/PCS codes.
• Ensure diagnoses/procedures are documented in the medical record.
• Review coding denials and audits; communicate actions for resolution.
• Maintain accurate records and stay current with coding changes.
