Job summary

Curtin Maritime is seeking a Project Engineer to lead production and survey efforts on dredging projects, providing technical and operational guidance to the operations team. You will oversee surveys from start to finish and work with the dredge management team to develop dig strategies.

The role requires 2 weeks on/2 weeks off, travel to project sites and the Long Beach yard, and collaboration with purchasing, QA, and clients.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering or Construction Management preferred.
• 1+ years dredging experience as a Project Engineer or similar role.
• USACE Construction Quality Management for Contractors (CQM-C) Certification.
• RMS competency and ability to update daily reports for clients.
• OSHA 30
• Primavera P6 Certification.
• Develop SOPs for survey and engineering team.
• Understanding of pump dynamics, velocities, pipeline routes, and booster placements.

Responsibilities

• Manage all survey assets and data.
• Develop dig strategy with project management.
• Analyze survey data to plan daily dredge operations.
• Oversee survey-related calculations and deliverables.
• Coordinate with Project Manager and crew on survey results.
