Job summary

Port Houston is seeking a Channel Maintenance Project Manager I to support channel infrastructure, dredging programs, and coordination with USACE, USCG, and pilots. The role focuses on planning, scheduling, and technical analysis using GIS tools.

You will manage dredging projects, coordinate external consultants, review drawings, perform data mapping, and prepare reports and presentations for stakeholders. A Civil/Coastal Engineering or related degree and 3–5 years of PM experience are required,

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Civil or Coastal Engineering or related field.
• 3–5 years of related project management experience.
• Experience in dredging and hydrographic surveying.
• Experience in GIS ESRI ArcGIS Pro and CAD.
• EIT certification; Texas PE preferred; TWIC within 30 days.

Responsibilities

• Manage dredging program for Port Houston and monitor activities through closeout.
• Coordinate Disposal Area Management and reporting.
• Coordinate sediment sampling reports for dredge material placement.
• Manage USACE Real Estate applications, cost, and schedules.
• Coordinate with external consultants on scopes of work and design support.
• Support hydrographic survey data processing and GIS-based shoal monitoring dashboards.
• Digitize and geo-reference data for GIS mapping and CAD drawings translation.
• Lead meetings with Port Terminal Operations and agency partners.
• Prepare written reports and presentations for stakeholders.
