Job summary

Kemp Quarries in Oklahoma seeks a Dredge Operator/Deckhand for a safety-sensitive role operating and supporting dredging operations on our vessel. The position runs 12pm-9pm.

You will perform equipment inspections, monitor depth data, secure lines, and work with the crew to maintain safety, efficiency, and compliance. High school diploma and teamwork are required; prior marine or construction experience preferred.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Experience in marine operations or construction preferred.
• Able to work outdoors in varying weather.
• Strong teamwork and communication skills.
• Basic knowledge of safety regulations and practices.
• Physical stamina and ability to lift heavy objects.

Responsibilities

• Assist operation and maintenance of dredging equipment.
• Perform routine inspections of deck machinery and tools.
• Monitor and record data on depth and sediment types.
• Collaborate with dredge operator and crew to ensure safety and efficiency.
• Handle and secure ropes, lines, and equipment.
• Keep deck and work areas clean and organized.
• Follow safety protocols at all times.
• Participate in emergency drills and safety meetings.
• Assist with loading and unloading materials from vessel.
• Maintain regular, reliable attendance at worksite.
