DreamWorks Technology, part of NBCUniversal, seeks a Sr. Technical Product Owner to define and drive tools for creative teams.

You will conduct user research with animators, designers, and production staff, translating insights into actionable product requirements and roadmaps. You will partner with engineering leadership to validate feasibility and deliver intuitive, high-impact solutions that boost creative productivity.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in CS, Graphic Design, or related field.
• 5+ years in Product Owner, UX Researcher, or similar role in creative/tech env.
• Experience with UX design teams and backend development teams.
• Proficiency in modern web features (Web Components, Responsive Design, Progressive Apps).
• Experience with Jira or similar project tracking software.
• Background in user research methodologies and translating insights into strategy.
• Experience with internal customers or enterprise users in a creative industry.
• Excellent communication, facilitation, and stakeholder management.

• Software Product Ownership
  • Define and prioritize software products based on user needs, business goals, and technical feasibility.

"What do I need to have in order to do this job?"

• Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science, Graphic Design, or a related field
• 5+ years of experience as a Product Owner, UX Researcher, or similar role in a creative or tech-driven environment
• Experience working closely with UX design teams and backend development teams
• Proficiency in modern web application features and design goals (e.g. Web Components, Responsive Design, and Progressive Applications)
• Experience working with Jira or other similar project tracking software
• Background in user research methodologies and synthesizing insights into product strategy
• Experience working with internal customers or enterprise users, ideally in a creative industry
• Excellent communication, facilitation, and stakeholder management skills

"What can I offer?"

• Experience using AI-assisted development tools
• Awareness of UX design principles and best practices
• Familiarity with Figma or similar collaborative design workflows
• Experience with React, Vue, or other similar component-based technologies
• Production experience in computer animation, visual effects, or game industry
• Experience in animation, VFX, or game development pipelines
• Passion for animation, storytelling, or creative production is a big plus!

Hybrid: This position has been designated as hybrid, generally contributing from the office a minimum of four days per week.

Salary range: $155,000 - $190,000
