Position Summary: We are seeking an experienced Drayage Dispatcher with a strong background in container operations and a thorough understanding of ocean terminal (port) procedures. The ideal candidate must be bilingual in English and Spanish and able to thrive in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment.

Responsibilities:

Coordinate and dispatch drivers for container pickups and deliveries from ocean terminals and other yards.

Communicate with port terminals, customers, and drivers to ensure efficient and timely operations.

Monitor driver schedules, routes, and compliance with DOT regulations.

Manage dispatch software and update delivery statuses in real time.

Troubleshoot and resolve logistical issues promptly.

Build strong relationships with port personnel and trucking partners.

Ensure accurate documentation and compliance with all port and customer requirements.

Requirements:

Minimum 1 year of experience as a drayage or port dispatcher.

Fluent in English and Spanish (verbal and written).

In-depth knowledge of port operations, container movement, and terminal procedures.

Familiarity with dispatch software and TMS systems.

Strong multitasking and problem-solving skills.

Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities.

Ability to work flexible hours, including weekends or after-hours if necessary.

Knowledge of DOT and FMCSA regulations is a plus.

Preferred Qualifications:

Prior experience working with ocean terminals such as PortMiami, Port Everglades, etc.

Experience dispatching both company drivers and owner-operators.

Familiarity with TMS systems and terminal appointment systems.
