Work Location: Canopy by Hilton Cape Town Longkloof, c/o Kloof Street & Park Road, Gardens, Cape Town

A Civil Technician will support the Engineering Team to efficiently maintain all hotel operations, ensuring safety, security, conservation, and compliance at the highest levels.

What will I be doing?

As a Civil Technician, you will support the Engineering Team to ensure that engineering and maintenance operations within the hotel—including general property maintenance and energy conservation—are functioning properly and to standard.

You will also be responsible for the development of the Engineering Team and staying updated on compliance regulations and procedures relevant to hotel standards.

Specific tasks include:
  1. Perform day-to-day routine and preventative maintenance within hotel rooms
  2. Respond promptly and efficiently to maintenance calls
  3. Execute preventative maintenance schedules and ensure all equipment and areas are maintained to required standards
  4. Assist with masonry, carpentry, and painting tasks
  5. Recommend maintenance system improvements and energy-saving measures
  6. Maintain all tools, equipment, and work areas in good condition
  7. Keep technical training knowledge and skills up to date
