Job summary

Hunter Douglas is seeking a dedicated sewing specialist for the Carole Fabrics line in Augusta, GA. The role focuses on Blind Stitch 1 work, sewing bottom hems and side hems on draperies using a blue belt machine, with attention to ticketed instructions and fabric variations.

You will operate the blue belt machine, make minor stitch adjustments, review tickets, keep the machine clean and oiled, and coordinate with the racker. A high school diploma and sewing experience are required.

Qualifications

• Sewing experience on industrial machines.
• Ability to read a tape measure.
• Basic fabric knowledge.
• Strong attention to detail.
• Capable of standing for extended periods.

Responsibilities

• Operate blue belt machine to hem draperies per work tickets.
• Make minor stitch adjustments for different fabrics.
• Review work tickets for special hemming instructions.
• Notify supervisor of machine problems and keep machine clean and oiled.
• Coordinate with racker on drape direction and report production standards.
