Job summary

Auger is recruiting a Drainage & Subsidence Assistant to join the team covering Bradford and the surrounding areas. The role supports engineers on a variety of jobs, including repairs, investigations, excavations and reinstatement works.

You will learn all aspects of engineering with a clear progression path from Junior Engineer to fully qualified Engineer, with training provided. The company offers a substantial benefits package and a focus on development.

Qualifications

• No previous experience is essential – training will be provided.
• Some experience in groundworks is preferable.

Responsibilities

• Assist engineers with repairs, investigations, excavations and reinstatement works.
• Collaborate with team members to complete tasks as required.
• Learn subsidence investigations and overall engineering practices at Auger.
• Progression path from Junior Engineer to fully qualified Engineer with development support.
• Coordinate with the Field Operations Team at HQ.

We'are looking for a Drainage & Subsidence Assistant to join the Auger Team, covering Bradford and the surrounding areas. Our total package is worth £31,884.00 without overtime.

Financials

• Starting Salary - £28,089.10

• Annual Bonus - approx £2000 - £2500

• 5.5% Pension Contribution - approx £1484

Overtime

• Optional weekend OT at 1.5x rate eg. 10 days would top up the package to £33,504.53

Working Hours

• 42.5hrs per week, Mon-Fri only &NOon-call work

• We paydoor-to-doorincludingalldriving time

The Role

• Assist our experienced Engineers to complete a variety of jobs including repairs, investigations, excavations and reinstatement works
• Work effectively with other engineers in our team as required
• Learn all aspects of every engineering role at Auger, including how to carry out subsidence investigations
• Specialise in one area after a year, with the opportunity to progress to Junior Engineer and, with the right development and commitment, a fully qualified Engineer
• Communicate proactively with our Field Operations Team at HQ
