Job summary

Trilon is seeking a Project Engineer with a Drainage focus to join their Transportation team in Tampa, FL. The ideal candidate will have a Bachelor’s in Civil Engineering, along with 1–5 years of experience in engineering design using MicroStation and/or AutoCAD. This position offers excellent compensation, holiday programs, and various benefits, as well as a sign-on bonus.

The engineer will assist in the planning and design of engineering drawings while participating in investigations and preparing reports. This role provides opportunities for professional development and mentorship.

Job Summary

Primary Responsibilities

• Assisting in the planning, design, and production of engineering drawings.
• Overseeing the production of these drawings and carrying out specific assignments in preparing and assembling specifications.
• Participating in conducting engineering investigations and planning work by completing well‑defined tasks including collection and analysis of data; performing routine calculations and evaluating the feasibility of alternate solutions.
• Preparing assigned sections of reports under close review of experienced professionals.

Required Qualifications

• Bachelor of Science in Civil Engineering.
• Fundamentals of Engineering (EI) certification and/or ability to achieve a PE license in Florida.
• 1–5 years of experience.
• Able to perform basic engineering design using MicroStation and/or AutoCAD with supervision.
• Knowledge of codes and design and construction practices.
• Excellent communication skills.
• ICPR experience.
• Stormwise experience (a plus).
