Job summary

Ferrovial is seeking a motivated Drainage Engineer-in-Training (EIT) to join the I-24 Southeast Choice Lanes Project in Nashville, Tennessee, one of the largest transportation infrastructure efforts in U.S. history.

You will support hydrologic, hydraulic and drainage design, work with experienced engineers, handle drainage analysis, stormwater management, hydraulic modeling, and coordination during project delivery.

Qualifications

• Master's or Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering from a US accredited college.
• 0–2 years in water resources or roadway drainage design.
• Registered EIT preferred.
• PE registration must be obtained.
• Proficiency with MicroStation, Geopak Drainage, StormCAD, HEC-RAS/HEC-HMS/HY-8.
• Strong communication and teamwork skills.

Responsibilities

• Perform drainage designs and plan production of complex highways.
• Coordinate with consultants and subconsultants to Ferrovial.
• Contribute to design optimization.
• Study specifications and perform quantity estimates and quality checks.
• Support deadlines and field observations as needed.
