Job summary

Quest Waste Management is seeking a Full Time CCTV Surveying Drainage operative based in Sheffield to support our drainage inspection and maintenance services across South Yorkshire. You will operate CCTV survey equipment, use high‑pressure jetting, liaise with customers, complete job sheets and risk assessments, and contribute to safe, efficient waste management operations.

Qualifications

• Full UK driving licence (maximum 6 penalty points).
• CSCS card (or willingness to obtain).
• Keen interest in drainage, waste management, or related utilities sectors.
• Practical, hands-on attitude with ability to work outdoors in all weather.
• Strong teamwork and communication skills.
• Excellent IT skills and a positive approach to learning new systems and processes.

Responsibilities

• Operate a range of specialist drainage equipment safely and effectively.
• Adhere to all health, safety, and environmental policies and procedures at all times.
• Liaise professionally with customers regarding planned works, providing updates and addressing queries.
• Support in identifying and resolving drainage issues such as blockages, defects, root ingress, and infiltration.
• Use high-pressure water jetting systems to clean and clear drains, sewers, and pipe networks.
• Assist with removal and disposal of waste materials to maintain efficient flow in wastewater systems.
• Carry out routine checks and basic maintenance on vehicles and equipment.
• Work alongside CCTV survey teams to inspect underground assets and assess their condition.
• Respond to emergency callouts, including flooding incidents and other urgent drainage problems.
• Complete work documentation, including job sheets, risk assessments, and method statements, with guidance and supervision.
