1 Tom Plumber Minneapolis North is a licensed, locally owned plumbing company serving the North Metro. We seek an experienced Drain Technician / Service Plumber to diagnose, clear drains from start to finish, perform repairs, and explain options to customers on-site.

The role requires hands-on work with cable/snake machines, descaling, hydro-jetting, and camera inspections; journeyman license in MN preferred. Competitive pay, benefits after 90 days, and year-round work offered.

Qualifications

• Drain tech with proven experience in drain cleaning and hydro-jetting.
• Experience with residential and commercial plumbing.
• Valid driver’s license with clean driving record.
• Ability to work independently and manage daily schedule.
• Physically able to access crawlspaces and lift equipment.
• Sales-minded, able to present options and close on-site.

Responsibilities

• Diagnose and clear drain stoppages in residential and commercial settings.
• Run cable/snake machines for main line and branch line clearing.
• Descale cast iron and other scaled pipe; operate a hydro-jetter for heavy grease, scale, and root intrusion.
• Perform camera inspections to locate problems (or willingness to learn).
• Complete general service plumbing repairs and installs (fixtures, water heaters, faucets, toilets).
• Provide customers with clear, honest diagnoses and pricing options on-site.
• Maintain a clean, organized service vehicle; document work orders and invoices.
