Job summary

Roto-Rooter in Everett, WA is hiring a Drain Service Technician to diagnose sewer and drain issues, provide cost estimates, and perform clog-clearing with company equipment.

Training pays $22.00 per hour during the initial period; after training, pay is $21.30 per hour with additional commission potential of 17%–24% of revenue based on performance. A path to advancement and benefits are included.

Roto-Rooter provides an initial 12weeks of paidsewer and drainservicetraining,plus continuing training is available if you want to learn the plumbing trade and pursue a journeyman plumber’s license.

Responsibilities

• Roto-Rooter drain service technicians use their skills to provide solutions to sewer and drain problems.
• A service call begins with diagnosing problems then providing cost estimates to close the sale.
• Unclog and clean sewers and drains for the customer using Roto-Rooter equipment and tools.
• Document estimates and invoices, both in writing and on a provided smartphone.
• Collect payment and move on to the next service call.

• A mechanical aptitude is desirable, but prior experience is not necessary.

Service technicians are paid an hourly rate of $22.00 during their training period. After training, they are paid an hourly rate of $21.30for all hours worked. In addition to their hourly pay, service technicians also have the potential to earn commissions at the minimum rate of 17% to the maximum rate of24% of revenue depending on the revenue category so long as their weekly sales exceed a base dollar threshold.
