Drafting Engineer

Are you passionate about bringing innovative designs to life? Chandler Exhibits is seeking a Drafting Engineer to join our dynamic engineering team. In this role, you’ll leverage your SolidWorks expertise and materials knowledge (metal, wood) to create detailed construction drawings that drive the manufacturing of high‑end retail environments and fixtures.

Key Responsibilities

• Transform 3D renderings into precise, production‑ready drawings using SolidWorks.
• Collaborate with designers, fabricators, and project managers to ensure manufacturing feasibility and quality.
• Conduct value engineering reviews to optimize cost, design intent, and performance.
• Generate Bills of Materials (BOM) and manage documentation in PDM systems.
• Drive continuous improvement by refining engineering processes and embracing lean manufacturing principles.

Key Requirements

• Education: AS/AAS degree in Drafting/Design Technology or equivalent experience.
• Experience: 3+ years in drafting/engineering, ideally in retail fixtures or millwork manufacturing.
• Advanced proficiency in SolidWorks and familiarity with PDM systems.
• Knowledge of sheet metal and tube fabrication, with lean manufacturing expertise as a plus.
• Strong collaboration, communication, and time management skills.

Pay Range

$55,000 - $70,000 (+ profit sharing)
