Job summary

The Toro Company is seeking a Drafter to join our Bloomington team. You will create and maintain engineering documentation using CAD software, including component part models, assemblies, subassemblies, and their drawings.

You will modify drawings and document parts, ensuring accuracy for manufacturing and reporting in SAP. Ideal candidates have a relevant associate degree, with exposure to drafting standards and GD&T.

Qualifications

  • Associate degree in Mechanical or Electrical Drafting, Drafting Design, Electronics and Electrical/Mechanical Technology required.
  • Bachelor’s Degree with engineering technology related disciplines preferred.
  • Drafter I: 0-2 years of experience with associate’s degree
  • Drafter II: 2+ years of experience with associate’s otherwise four (4) plus years related experience.
  • Basic understanding of industry drafting standards (ANSI)
  • Responsible for adhering to product Drafting Standards and Procedures
  • Understand the application of basic Geometric Dimensioning and Tolerancing (GD&T).
  • Experience with CAD software preferred.
  • Ability to technically communicate with Designers and Engineers.

Responsibilities

We are seeking a Drafter to join our team in Bloomington. As a Drafter you will create and/or maintain engineering documentation using CAD software. Engineering documentation includes individual component part models, assemblies, subassemblies, and their respective drawings. Modify detailed drawings of component parts and subassemblies.

What Do You Need?

To be considered for this role, an individual should meet the following minimal requirements:

WORK ENVIRONMENT
  • Primarily office-based with regular interaction in a shop/lab environment supporting equipment diagnostics and validation.

  • Exposure to mechanical and electrical equipment, including moving machinery and powered vehicles.

  • Ability to lift up to 50 pounds.

  • Fast-paced environment with competing priorities, high customer interaction, and occasional escalations.

  • Minimal travel may be required (training or field support).

  • Standard work schedule may include extended hours, or overtime based on customer demand.

  • Frequent use of computer systems.

A reasonable estimate of the annual pay range is between$25.16/hr.-$35/hr.
