Job summary

Kovach Enclosure Systems in Chandler, AZ seeks an experienced Drafter II to independently manage drafting projects from turnover through completion. Prepare detailed shop and fabrication drawings, bills of material, takeoffs, material orders, and project documentation, coordinating with Project Management, Engineering, Field Operations, Manufacturing, Purchasing, and external drafting partners.

Qualifications

• An associate degree, technical certificate, or coursework in Drafting Technology, Architectural Drafting, Computer-Aided Design, Engineering Technology, Construction Technology, or a related field is preferred.
• An equivalent combination of education, technical training, and directly applicable drafting or construction experience will also be considered.

Responsibilities

• Manage assigned drafting projects from turnover through completion while meeting schedules and quality standards.
• Review drawings, specifications, and project scope to identify drafting requirements and conflicts.
• Prepare complete shop drawings, fabrication drawings, takeoffs, BOMs, material orders, product releases, and related documentation.
