New Mexico Gas Company (NMGC) is seeking qualified Drafters in New Mexico to design piping, structural, and electrical systems for gas delivery infrastructure. Roles vary from entry to senior level, with pay reflecting skills and education.

Travel from home office to NMGC service areas is possible, and safety is emphasized throughout the workday. The team uses AutoCAD and CAD tools to prepare drawings, material lists, and construction packages, while aligning with field observations and vendor

Qualifications

• High school diploma, GED or equivalent.
• Drafter: No experience required.
• Senior Drafter: A minimum of 3 years related experience.
• Must possess and maintain a valid driver’s license with an acceptable driving record.
• Preference: Experience using CADD software, such as AutoCAD; interpreting survey alignment sheets, electrical layouts, or bore profile drawings.

Responsabilités

• Develops cost-effective piping, pipe support, structural, mechanical, and electrical designs for projects initiated by Engineering staff.
• Assists with the development of working drawings and construction packages using CAD; completes work packages including drawings, calculations, revisions, BOMs, vendor drawings, and requisitions.
• Utilizes AutoCAD and other advanced CADD tools in drafting work.
• Obtains information from field measurements, existing drawings, vendor data, and engineers to complete designs.
• Under supervision, provides drawing interpretation during installation and construction.
• Continually improves drafting and design expertise through training and collaboration with engineers.
