Job description

Works under the direction of the Chief Engineer in the creation of descriptive drawings for product development, application, and manufacturing.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

• Creates accurate 3-D models from sketches or verbal instruction.
• Proficient with 3-D modeling at the end of first 120 days of employment.
• 100% drawing accuracy.
• Must be able to perform at generally accepted drawing time standards.
• Creates 2-D descriptive drawings to design department and industry standards.
• Gain general working knowledge of all relative products offered within the division.
• Basic product training through engineering manuals within first 60 days of employment.
• Understanding of manufacturing capabilities and sheet metal tolerances and manufacturing limitations.
• General understanding of manufacturing techniques and equipment within the first 120 days; proficient at 1 year.
• Processes engineering change requests and engineering change notices.
• Excellent understanding of E.C.R. procedures within 90 days of employment.
• Performs other similar or related duties as required or requested.

Requirements:

Position Requirements:

• One year minimum of CAD Certificate or technical trade school with a focus on CAD.
• Minimum one year design experience.
• Familiarity with AutoCAD.
• Ability to use computer software including Microsoft Windows Operating System and Microsoft Office Suite.
• Formal training in a 3-D modeling software, AutoDesk preferred.
• Must be creative, flexible, and an innovative team player.
