Job summary

Pauley Construction, LLC is seeking an entry-level Drafter/Designer to plot, map, design, and draft in CADD for telecommunications networks and permits in Centennial, CO. This role creates accurate network maps, layouts, and detailed construction prints to meet customer expectations.

You will collaborate with Engineering and Construction, develop OSP designs, and ensure designs meet regulatory requirements, with opportunities for training and growth within a safety-focused environment.

Qualifications

• Must be 18 years or older and legally eligible to work in the United States.
• High school diploma or GED required; telecommunications experience is a plus.
• Proficiency in AutoCAD or similar drafting software preferred.
• Solid understanding of fiber network projects and related deployments.
• Ability to pass background check and drug screening.
• Willingness to work after hours or weekends if needed.
• Strong attendance and training adherence are essential.

Responsibilities

• Assist with execution of projects and drafting plans to support long-term strategy.
• Create Outside Plant (OSP) network designs using appropriate software.
• Develop and issue work prints for telecom networks.
• Collaborate with Engineering and Construction; coordinate with permitting agencies.
• Prepare documentation: bill of materials, labor quantities, etc.
• Ensure facility designs comply with local, state, and federal regulations (RUS as applicable).
• Identify project issues and risks; participate in response plans.
• Provide documentation for cost-effective placement of facilities.
• Meet deadlines and handle tasks under tight timelines.
• Perform other duties as assigned.

What you’ll do

• You will assist with the execution of projects and plans supporting the organization's long-term drafting strategy
• Create new Outside Plant (OSP) network designs in various applications/software
• Develop and issue work prints for OSP Telecom networks
• Work with Engineering and Construction departments and coordinate with permitting agencies
• Create documentation and reporting to support the work package, ie: bill of materials, labor quantities, etc.
• Ensure facility designs follow company standards and comply with the requirements of local, state and federal regulations, which may include Rural Utilities Service (RUS)
• You will identify and course correct project issues and risks, participate in response plans to resolve
• Provide any documentation required for the cost-effective placement of communication facilities
• Meet project deadlines and successfully complete tasks under tight timelines
• Other duties as assigned.

What you’ll need

• To be 18 years of age or older
• Authorization to work in the United States for this company
• High School Diploma, GED equivalent, or at least three years of telecommunications.
• Must possess, or obtain upon employment, a valid driver’s license.
• Must be able to pass a background check and company drug screening.
• Must be able to attend and pass all company required training as needed.
• May be required to work after hours; on weekends or be on-call as work is needed.
• Regular and timely attendance is an essential function of this position.
• You will have training in the field
• You will have good interpersonal skills
• You will have solid experience with the principles and practices of fiber specific projects, network deployments and related fields
• You may have 1 or more years of progressive experience in drafting - You may have proficiency in Auto CAD
• You may have advanced training in the field.

Pay Range: The Drafter/Designer hourly wage range is $20.00 - $25.00 depending on experience.
