Job summary

JT Cullen seeks a skilled Drafter to create fabrication-ready drawings from customer information. You will develop 3D models and 2D drawings, ensuring adherence to specs and welding practices. Strong GD&T knowledge and metallurgy familiarity are preferred.

Responsibilities include producing drawings, material lists, and documentation, while coordinating with management to resolve design challenges. This role requires attention to detail, reliability, and the ability to work at a desk for

Qualifications

• Associate’s degree in Drafting/Design or equivalent work experience.
• Solid understanding of geometry, trigonometry, and algebra.
• Proficiency in CAD software (AutoCAD, SolidWorks, Creo, ProNest, CutLogic, Global Shop ERP).
• Familiarity with welding and drawing symbols, dimensioning, and steel fabrication practices.
• Experience with GD&T and manufacturing tolerances.

Responsibilities

• Produce detailed engineering drawings and fabrication designs.
• Develop design specifications, documentation, and material lists.
• Verify drawings comply with specifications, codes, and regulations.
• Create 3D models, 2D drawings, CNC burn files, and material lists.
• Prepare purchase requisitions for material orders.
• Collaborate with management to resolve design or fabrication issues.
