Role Description

The Drafter role is a full-time, on-site position based in Tulsa, OK. The Drafter will prepare detailed CAD drawings, models, and technical documentation for fabrication equipment, meter runs, skid assemblies, pressure vessels, and related oil and gas industry components. Daily responsibilities include interpreting engineering specifications, client requirements, and field data to create accurate drawings and revisions that support manufacturing and installation. The role collaborates closely with engineers, project managers, and shop personnel to resolve design issues, optimize fabrications for production, and ensure drawings comply with industry standards and internal quality guidelines. The Drafter also maintains organized drawing files, updates documentation throughout the project lifecycle, and contributes to continuous improvement of drafting workflows and standards.

Qualifications
  • Strong CAD and drafting skills, including proficiency with industry-standard CAD software and the ability to produce precise 2D and 3D drawings.
  • Knowledge of mechanical design principles, fabrication processes, and equipment used in oil and gas measurement and utility construction.
  • Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings, P&IDs, technical specifications, and industry codes and standards.
  • Attention to detail, including strong skills in checking, revising, and documenting drawings for accuracy and completeness.
  • Effective communication and collaboration skills to work with engineering, fabrication, and field teams in a fast-paced environment.
  • Experience in the energy, oil and gas, or utility construction sectors is highly beneficial.
  • Associate degree or technical diploma in Drafting, Engineering Technology, or a related field; equivalent experience will be considered.
  • Ability to work on-site in Tulsa, OK, meet project deadlines, and adapt to evolving client and regulatory requirements.
