Job summary

Continental Electronics Corporation, a leading RF technology provider, seeks a Drafter to develop detailed electro-mechanical drawings and parts lists from various data sources. The role emphasizes precision, adherence to design intent, and collaboration within a team.

The Drafter will anticipate manufacturing challenges, produce multi-view drawings, and ensure alignment with project goals while upholding the company’s ethics and core values.

Qualifications

  • Associate Degree or equivalent experience.
  • 2 years of experience using Autodesk software (AutoCAD and Inventor) and established standards to develop and revise complex drawings and parts lists.
  • Extensive knowledge of drafting field required.
  • Able to work on assignments that are moderately difficult, requiring judgment in resolving issues or in making recommendations.
  • Able to plan own work and use judgment within limits of standard practice.
  • Attention to detail, good interpersonal skills, ability to multitask, good organizational skills, computer literacy, and a demonstrated ability to work well in a team environment.

  • Perform difficult assignments requiring considerable initiative, resourcefulness, and drafting expertise to visualize and portray complex drawings and models
  • Anticipates problems in manufacturing, assembly, installation, and operation and addresses these problems in the documents produced
  • Exercises independent judgment in selecting and interpreting data based on knowledge of the design intent
  • Demonstrate behavior consistent with the Company’s Code of Ethics and Conduct
  • Uphold the Company’s core values of Integrity, Innovation, Accountability, and Teamwork
  • Duties may be modified or assigned at any time to meet the needs of the business

Overview

Continental Electronics Corporation is a leading provider of RF technologies and innovative solutions with 80 years of proven performance. CEC has experienced significant recent growth and has established itself as the go-to supplier for a diversified product line supporting a wide spectrum of markets from commercial products, military customers, to space research laboratories.

The Drafter works closely with design originators preparing drawings of unusual, complex, or original designs. A high degree of precision in development of drawings and parts lists that include multiple views, detail drawings, and assembly drawings is expected. Although working primarily as a drafter, may occasionally interpret general designs prepared by others to complete minor details.

  • Attention to detail, good interpersonal skills, ability to multitask, good organizational skills, computer literacy, and a demonstrated ability to work well in a team environment
Preferred Qualifications
  • 2 to 3 years of experience using Autodesk Inventor to develop and revise 3D models of electro-mechanical equipment

Pay may range from $26.00 to $35.00 hourly

The pay range above represents annual base salary only. Final compensation will be determined based on factors such as your job level, geographic location, date of hire, experience, job-related knowledge and skills, and education in conjunction with market and business considerations.

Base salary is one component of your total rewards package. You may be eligible for long-term incentives, potential discretionary bonuses, and the ability to purchase company stock at a discounted rate through the Employee Stock Purchase Program (ESPP).
