Overview

Continental Electronics Corporation is a leading provider of RF technologies and innovative solutions with over 75 years of proven performance. The drafter works closely with design originators preparing drawings of unusual, complex, or original designs. A high degree of precision in development of drawings and parts lists that include multiple views, detail drawings, and assembly drawings is expected. Performs difficult assignments requiring considerable initiative, resourcefulness, and drafting expertise to visualize and portray complex drawings and models.

Responsibilities
  • Anticipates problems in manufacture, assembly, installation, and operation and addresses these problems in the documents produced.
  • Exercises independent judgment in selecting and interpreting data based on knowledge of the design intent.
  • Although working primarily as a drafter, may occasionally interpret general designs prepared by others to complete minor details.

Qualifications
  • Associate Degree or equivalent experience.
  • 1 year of experience (combined internships and school projects accepted) using Autodesk software (AutoCAD and Inventor) and established standards to develop and revise complex drawings and parts lists of electro‑mechanical equipment from technical data packages, 3D model files, actual equipment, and/or sketches.
  • Extensive knowledge of the drafting field required.
  • Able to work on assignments that are moderately difficult, requiring judgment in resolving issues or in making recommendations.
  • Able to plan own work and use judgment within limits of standard practice.
  • Attention to detail, good interpersonal skills, ability to multitask, good organizational skills, computer literacy, and a demonstrated ability to work well in a team environment.
Desired Skills
  • 2 years of experience using Autodesk Inventor to develop and revise 3D models of electro‑mechanical equipment.

Life at OSI. The pay range above represents annual base salary only. Final compensation will be determined based on factors such as your job level, geographic location, date of hire, experience, job-related knowledge and skills, and education in conjunction with market and business considerations. Base salary is one component of your total rewards package.
