Job summary

Encompass Energy Services in Houston, TX, seeks a pipeline drafting professional to create alignment sheets, plats, exhibits and permit drawings using AutoCAD for pipeline projects.

You will prepare design drawings with plan, section and detail formats or plan and profile, and sketches reflecting as-built field conditions; experience with oil and gas maps, Civil 3D, Route Mapper or Plat Mapper is preferred.

Qualifications

• 2–5 years drafting experience or education equivalent
• Proficiency in AutoCAD and legal descriptions drafting
• Oil and gas industry experience required
• Ability to read maps, plat maps, as-builts and gas service records
• Working knowledge of AutoCAD Civil 3D
• Experience with Route Mapper and/or Plat Mapper preferred
• Ability to work independently on multiple projects
• Customer service and team oriented
• Self-starter, organized, detail-oriented, and able to work under stress to meet deadlines

Job description

Job Summary:

• Prepare drawings, forms, maps, and lists based on approved details provided by designers and engineers

Requirements:

• 2 - 5 years drafting experience or education equivalent
• Proficiency in AutoCAD and legal descriptions drafting
• Oil and gas industry experience required
• Reading and understanding maps, plat maps, as-builts, construction drawings and gas service records for existing condition interpolation
• Working knowledge of AutoCAD Civil 3D
• Experience with Route Mapper and/or Plat Mapper preferred

Qualifications:

• Applicants will have a basic understanding of survey procedures and data collection and a level of knowledge to work independently.
• Ability to work on multiple projects using raw field data and computer data.
• Ability to apply land surveying methodologies, formulas, principles, and techniques to solve surveying related problems.
• Ability to review their own work for accuracy and completeness and the initiative to recommend solutions or improvements as appropriate.
• Customer service and team oriented.
• Should demonstrate they are a self-starter, organized, attentive to detail, and able to work under stress to meet deadlines.
