Job summary

Envirogen is seeking an experienced Drafter to support the design and delivery of Water and Wastewater Treatment projects. The role focuses on 3D modelling, PFDs, P&IDs, and detailed GA and fabrication drawings with strong understanding of process equipment and piping systems.

The candidate will use AutoCAD, Inventor, and Plant 3D, contributing to BOM creation and comprehensive documentation while meeting project deadlines in a hybrid Kingwood-based role.

Qualifications

• Degree in Drafting or related field with strong technical background.
• Extensive drafting/design experience in an engineering environment.
• Solid understanding of process equipment, piping, valves, and tank design.

Responsibilities

• Prepare detailed PFDs for Water and Wastewater projects using AutoCAD under guidance.
• Produce P&IDs and develop 3D models, GA drawings, fabrication drawings, and assemblies.
• Create and maintain Bills of Materials (BOMs) and support BIM Asset Management.
• Coordinate operation and maintenance manuals, asset registers, and spare parts schedules.
• Apply engineering principles to solve design challenges.

About the Role

We are seeking an experienced and detail-oriented Drafter to join our engineering team, supporting the design and delivery of innovative Water and Wastewater Treatment projects. This role is ideal for a technically strong individual with extensive drafting experience, excellent 3D modelling capabilities, and a solid understanding of process equipment, piping systems, skids, valves, and tank design.

The successful candidate will be proficient in AutoCAD, Inventor, and Plant 3D, possess strong mathematical and problem-solving skills, and be capable of delivering high-quality work to project deadlines while collaborating within a multidisciplinary engineering environment.

Key Responsibilities

• Prepare detailed Process Flow Diagrams (PFDs) for Water and Wastewater Treatment Plants using AutoCAD, under the guidance of Design Engineers.
• Produce detailed Piping and Instrumentation Diagrams (P&IDs).
• Develop 3D models, General Arrangement (GA) drawings, fabrication drawings, and assembly drawings.
• Create and maintain accurate Bills of Materials (BOMs).
• Support BIM Asset Management, including the completion of Asset Registers and Asset Information Models.
• Coordinate and compile comprehensive Operation and Maintenance Manuals, including as-built models and drawings, equipment datasheets, operating and maintenance procedures, maintenance schedules, and spare parts schedules.
• Apply sound engineering principles and problem-solving techniques to design challenges.

What We’re Looking For

• Degree in Applied Science (Drafting) or a related discipline with a strong technical background.
• Experienced in a similar drafting or design role.
• Extensive technical drafting experience within an engineering environment.
• Strong understanding of process equipment, piping systems, valves, skid-mounted systems, and tank design.
• Proficiency in AutoCAD, Inventor, and Plant 3D.
