Job summary

Ampirical Drafter II role focused on electrical schematics and wiring diagrams for substation projects at Ampirical. You will follow specifications, interpret revisions, and prepare construction-ready drawings.

Qualifications

• Education: High School Diploma or GED Required. Technical Degree or Equivalent in Drafting and Design, Industrial Technology Degree with emphasis on drafting and design preferred.
• Experience: 1+ years of experience and/or 1 year of training in drafting technical drawings using CAD
• Skills: Autodesk AutoCAD and/or Bentley Microservices experience preferred

Responsibilities

• Performs detailed or complex drafting assignments related to electrical schematics and wiring diagrams for substation applications.
• Follows established technical specifications to prepare drawings and assists in design drafting. Interprets redline revisions and implements detailed corrections.
• Organizes, prioritizes, and works on multiple projects.
• Consults with Drafting Lead regarding drawing accuracy and drafting standards.
• Prepares finished working drawings for construction projects from detailed design by designers and engineers with moderate oversight

Your Role: Drafter II

What You’ll Do

• Performs detailed or complex drafting assignments related to electrical schematics and wiring diagrams for substation applications.

Expectations

• Moderate guidance and training needed, understanding of project requirements assigned is developed. Drafter II acceptable standards of excellence (accuracy, work ethics, presentation/standards, speed).
• Ensure package is complete/accurate with moderate guidance.
• Consults with engineers regarding accuracy and design. Meets deadlines.
• Accepts multi-disciplined work and training in other programs.

What You Bring
