Job summary

KEG Iowa, LLC is seeking a Draft Technician to ensure routine cleaning and maintenance of draft accounts. The role involves following service schedules, maintaining supplier records, and documenting call details.

You will disassemble and reassemble keg components, connect pumping systems, and ensure beers are safely cleaned and re-tapped while upholding cleanliness standards. The position requires adherence to state liquor regulations, accurate timekeeping, and collaboration with account owners

Qualifications

Responsibilities

• Adhere to account service schedule and assignments, as directed
• Maintain records of suppliers’ draft accounts receiving this service
• Record information on each call, as required, and make other reports as necessary
• Perform draft cleaning procedures ensuring at least one tap remains in operation
• Un-tap keg and remove faucet for cleaning
• Connect pump to shank or standard assemble unit and clean lines
• Pump cleaning solution through lines and rinse with clear water
• Re-tap keg and draw beer after cleaning
• Maintain clean work area and comply with policies and regulations

The DraftTechnicianensures that retailer draft accounts receive efficient and regular draft cleaning service, and that this service is of a high degree, bearing in mind the requirements of retailers.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

Adhere to account service schedule and assignments, as directed.

Maintain records of suppliers’ draft accounts receiving this service.

Recordappropriate informationon each call, asrequired, and make otherreports asnecessary.

When performingdraftcleaning service for an account which has more than one tap, ensure that at least one tapremainsin operation for use by the account while completing cleaning service.

Assume responsibility foraccomplishingthe following cleaning procedures:

Un-tap keg.

Remove faucet and set aside, usually insoakingbucket.

Connect pump to shank or standardassembleunit.

Place keg tapping device, with other beer line connected to it, in cleaning bucket.

After mixing cleaning solution, pump cleaning solution through lines.

Pump clearcold waterthroughlines.

Remove and clean keg tapping device and reconnect device to lines.

Break faucet down and clean. Replace parts as needed.

Removepumpand clean couplingand assemble.

Replace faucet to assemble.

Re-tap keg and draw beer until clean.

Clean working area paying attention to cleanliness of the standard and faucet.

Initiatecleanout tag in duplicate and haveretailersign.

Be prepared to install neon signs and other promotionalpointof sale, ifrequested.

Constantlymonitorbeerdepartment in all assigned accounts, looking for opportunities to increase sales and distribution. Remain informed of all current and upcoming promotions. Update/complete tapsurveyat each assigned account, including competitive taps.

Be knowledgeable ofSalesdepartment’s strategies andobjectivesfor all accounts.

Participate inMolsonCoors Draft Certification program.

Participate in supplier quality assurance programs.

Responsible for ensuring all time worked is properly and accurately recordedutilizingtheappropriate, designated modes of timekeeping.

Maintain open and clear communications with the owners,managers,and other employees oftheCompany.

Comply withall relevant company policies and procedures outlined in the KEG 1Iowa, LLCEmployee Handbook.

Conduct all activitiesin accordancewithlocal, state,and federal liquor control regulations.
