Job summary

The Delta Flight Museum is seeking a part-time MOS – Finance role to support the CFO and finance team with financial analysis, reporting, and cross-departmental projects in our nonprofit museum environment. This position offers exposure to executive-level decisions within a unique cultural institution in Atlanta, GA.

Responsibilities include assisting with reporting across QuickBooks and Veevart, preparing materials for Board meetings, and tracking revenue data for museum attractions, with

Qualifications

  • Pursuing Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, or related field; rising junior/senior preferred.
  • Minimum GPA 3.0 preferred.
  • Proficient in Excel; familiarity with QuickBooks or ERP software a plus.
  • Familiarity with Salesforce-based platforms (e.g., Veevart) a plus.
  • Strong analytical, quantitative, and communication skills.
  • Able to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
  • Authorized to work in the United States; 18+.

Responsibilities

  • Support yield optimization analysis for corporate events and rentals, including pricing.
  • Prepare materials for Board meetings and executive presentations.
  • Track and analyze ticket and revenue data for museum attractions.
  • Coordinate with external vendors and payroll; liaise with providers.
  • Support surplus asset sales tracking and reporting.
  • Participate in cross-departmental meetings to gather input for finance leadership.

Key Responsibilities
  • Assist with financial reporting and reconciliation across QuickBooks and Veevart
  • Support yield optimization analysis for corporate events and rentals, including pricing and ancillary revenue
  • Help prepare materials for Board of Directors meetings and executive presentations
  • Track and analyze ticket and revenue data for museum attractions
  • Assist with vendor and payroll coordination, including liaison support with external providers
  • Support surplus asset sales tracking and reporting
  • Participate in cross-departmental meetings, gathering and synthesizing input for finance leadership

What You Need To Succeed (minimum Qualifications)
  • Must be currently enrolled in an accredited college or university, pursuing a Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, Business Administration, or a related field
    • Rising Junior or Senior standing preferred
    • Minimum GPA of 3.0 preferred
  • Consistently prioritizes safety and security of self, others, and personal data.
  • Embraces a diverse set of people, thinking and styles.
  • Is at least 18 years of age and has authorization to work in the United States
  • Possesses a high school diploma, GED, or high school equivalency.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Excel (formulas, pivot tables, basic modeling)
  • Familiarity with QuickBooks or similar accounting/ERP software, a plus
  • Familiarity with Salesforce-based platforms (e.g., Veevart), a plus
  • Strong analytical and quantitative skills, with attention to detail and accuracy
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment
  • Comfortable collaborating across departments and with external vendors and partners
  • Proficiency in Microsoft PowerPoint and Word for presentation and report preparation
  • Discretion in handling confidential financial information
