Job summary

Downtown San Diego Partnership seeks Clean Ambassadors to perform cleaning and sanitation duties in the Downtown San Diego area, covering neighborhoods such as East Village and Gaslamp Quarter. You will collaborate with supervisors to maintain public spaces, respond to requests, and participate in safety briefings.

The role requires 2+ years of cleaning experience, a High School diploma or GED, and the ability to work varying shifts including weekends.

Qualifications

2+ years of cleaning experience or equivalent.
Hospitality experience is a plus.
High School Diploma or GED required.
Ability to work varied hours, including weekends and holidays.
Must be able to read, write, and speak English; bilingualism preferred.

Responsibilities

Maintain the cleanliness and appearance of public spaces, sidewalks, curbs, and parks by removing litter and servicing trash receptacles.
Sweep and mop sidewalks and curbs, including removal of human and animal waste, to maintain sanitary conditions.
Remove graffiti and stickers from public property and fixtures.
Clean, paint, deodorize, and maintain street furniture and fixtures to enhance appearance.
Lift and dispose of heavy trash bags (up to 50 lbs.) and empty public trash receptacles.
Respond to cleaning requests from businesses, residents, and property owners in a timely and professional manner.
