Securitas USA is seeking a Corporate Security Officer for a high-rise office in Downtown Houston. The role emphasizes safety, vigilance, and a service-minded approach to tenants, employees, and visitors.

The ideal candidate is proactive, reliable, and able to work independently or in a team. The position offers full-time opportunities with varying shifts and hourly compensation ranging from $16.00 to $18.00, depending on experience and DOE.

Qualifications

• 2+ years of experience in security, law enforcement, or military (preferred).
• Strong observational and problem-solving skills.
• Ability to stay calm, composed, and professional in stressful situations.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Must be dependable, punctual, and detail-oriented.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.

Responsibilities

• Monitor and patrol the property, interior and exterior areas, to prevent and detect signs of intrusion or unsafe conditions.
• Control access points and verify credentials of employees, visitors, and vendors.
• Respond promptly and effectively to emergencies, alarms, and incidents.
• Conduct routine foot patrols, requiring extended periods of walking and standing.
• Identify and report security risks, hazards, or suspicious activity.
• Maintain accurate reports, logs, and incident documentation.
• Provide excellent customer service while enforcing site policies and procedures.
• Coordinate with local law enforcement, emergency services, and building management as needed.
