Job summary

You will design and optimize downstream processes at bench scale, drive scale-up and tech transfer, and collaborate with Strain Improvement, Fermentation, Analytical, Manufacturing and Quality to resolve complex

Qualifications

• BS in Chemical Engineering, Biotechnology, Bioprocess Engineering, or related field with 5+ years hands-on industry experience.
• Experience with lab and/or pilot scale bioprocessing recovery equipment.
• Strong understanding of unit operations, M&E balances, and separation technologies; knowledge of DSP modeling.
• Statistics and DOE experience; Six Sigma is a plus.
• Demonstrated ownership, accountability, and ability to work in cross-functional teams.

Responsibilities

• Apply scientific and engineering knowledge to separations processes for environmentally beneficial and cost-competitive biobased solutions.
• Design, execute, and analyze downstream processes at bench scale; scale-up and tech transfer with production-scale considerations.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams across Strain Improvement, Fermentation, Analytical, Manufacturing and Quality; present data to drive implementation.
