Job summary

EVERY is seeking a Downstream Process Engineer II to advance our downstream development. You will optimize processes, scale from lab to pilot to commercial biomanufacturing sites, and work with external vendors to transfer technology.

Required are a BS in Chemical/Biological Engineering with at least 3 years in industry, hands-on experience with TFF, filtration, centrifugation, chromatography, and spray drying, plus experience tech transferring to CMOs.

Qualifications

• BS in Chemical Engineering, Biological Engineering, or related discipline; 3 years of industry experience.
• Experience with traditional processing unit operations including TFF, depth filtration, centrifugation, chromatography, and spray drying.
• Experience leading tech transfers to external parties such as pilot or CMO facilities.
• Experience coordinating with third parties and vendors.

Responsibilities

• Optimize downstream process through iterative lab-to-pilot scale cycles; scale up learnings to external pilot plant.
• Perform unit operations at HQ (TFF, depth filtration, chromatography, spray drying, purification).
• Develop and review tech transfer documentation; travel to pilot plants for scale-up review.
• Coordinate with external vendors and CMOs for trials; partner with scientists to scale ideas.
• Analyze results and report data for interpretation and follow-up experiments.
• Communicate findings clearly in meetings and written formats.
• Follow department and corporate guidelines, safety rules; perform related duties as assigned.
