Job summary

Eurofins Scientific is seeking a Downstream Process Development Engineer - LNP in West Point, PA. The role involves lab-scale processing of vaccine adjuvant and lipid nanoparticles, performing analytical assays, and preparing reagents for experiments.

The candidate will maintain GMP-compliant records and operate process equipment onsite. The ideal candidate has an engineering degree with relevant industry experience (Bachelor/ Master/ PhD) and must be eligible to work in the United States

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Engineering with 8+ years of industry experience or Masters in Engineering with 6+ years or PhD with 2+ years.
• Authorization to work in the United States indefinitely without restriction or sponsorship.
• Experience with adjuvant and LNP process unit operations including Extrusion, Tee-mixing, MIVM, Homogenization, Filtration, TFF.
• Scale up experience related to liposome and LNP formation unit ops.
• Experience handling potent lipids (OEB4 & 5) in isolators or VBEs.

Responsibilities

• Perform lab-scale downstream processing of vaccine adjuvant and LNP products and intermediates.
• Perform assays on adjuvant and LNP products and related samples using biochemical/analytical tests.
• Prepare solutions and reagents; set up process equipment for lab-scale experiments.

• Perform lab-scale downstream processing of vaccine adjuvant & Lipid Nanoparticle (LNP) products and process intermediates
• Perform assays on vaccine adjuvant & LNP products, process intermediates, and related experimental samples using biochemical/analytical tests

Minimum Qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree in Engineering with 8+ years of industry experience or Masters in Engineering with 6+ years of industry experience or PhD in Engineering with 2+ years of industry experience.
• Authorization to work in the United Statesindefinitely without restriction or sponsorship
• Experience withadjuvant and LNP process unit operations including Extrusion, Tee-mixing, Multi-Inlet-Vortex-Mixing (MIVM), Homogenization/Microfluidization, Filtration, Tangential Flow Filtration (TFF)
• Scale up experience related to liposome and LNP formation unit ops including, but not limited to, Extrusion, Teemixing, Microfluidization/Homogenization
• Experience handling potent compound lipids (OEB4 & 5) and working in isolators and Ventilated Booth Enclosures (VBEs)
