Job summary

Merck in the United States is seeking a motivated scientist/engineer to join our Bioprocess Drug Substance Commercialization group. This role focuses on late-stage process development, technology transfer, and in-line support of biologics.

You will perform hands-on experiments in downstream processing, collaborate with manufacturing teams on startup and on-floor support, and author or review technical documents for PPQ and regulatory submissions.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or higher in Chemical Engineering, Chemistry, Biology, or comparable discipline.
• Experience planning and performing experiments, data analysis, and technical reporting.
• Ability to work independently and meet quality and timeline expectations.
• Strong communication, organization, and problem-solving skills.

Responsibilities

• Execute hands-on experiments in biologics downstream processing (lab to pilot scale).
• Collaborate with manufacturing as a process sciences representative for startup and on-floor support.
• Author and/or review documents to support PPQ and licensure.
