Job summary

Guidehouse Inc. in Indianapolis seeks a senior consultant to support audit remediation activities for DoD programs. You will develop process narratives, design corrective actions, and perform internal control testing as part of multiple work streams.

Responsibilities include coaching junior staff, reviewing documentation, and ensuring remediation efforts meet regulatory and client requirements. Requires a Bachelor’s degree, 12+ years of relevant experience, and ability to obtain a SECRET

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Business, Accounting, Finance, or related field.
• Minimum 12 years of workforce experience, including 7 years in related audits.
• Ability to travel as needed.

Responsibilities

• Supporting audit remediation activities, including process documentation (narratives, flow charts) and corrective action plans.
• Performing recurring testing of internal controls and designing control programs.
• Providing targeted area support based on Component and root-cause analysis.
• Managing and executing work streams.
• Coaching and developing junior personnel and reviewing their work.

What You Will Do

• Supporting audit remediation activities, such as developing/updating process documentation (e.g., narratives and flow charts), and developing/implementing corrective action plans to address findings
• Performing recurring testing, such as testing internal controls, designing and executing internal control programs
• Providing targeted area support based on Component (e.g., performing root cause analysis and corrective action plan development)
• Manage and execute work streams
• Coach and develop junior personnel
• Review all documentation prepared by more junior personnel

What You Will Need

• Must be able to OBTAIN and MAINTAIN a Federal or DoD "SECRET" security clearance; candidates must obtain approved adjudication of clearance prior to onboarding with Guidehouse. Candidates with an ACTIVE "SECRET" or higher-level clearance are preferred.
• Bachelor's degree in Business, Accounting, Finance, or a similar field.
• Minimum TWELVE (12) years of workforce experience to include SEVEN (7) years of relatable experience performing financial statement audits, audit remediation services, or audit remediation and sustainment services within DoD or another Federal Government agency or department.
• Ability to travel as needed.

What Would Be Nice To Have

• Masters Degree
• One of the following professional certifications: CPA, CISA, CIA, CGFM or CDFM
• Experience performing recurring testing, such as testing internal controls, designing, and executing Manager's Internal Controls Programs (Risk Manager's Internal Control Program)
• Performing and reviewing statement analysis, financial information, reporting results, and financial statement audit report analysis
