Job summary

Flowers Foods, Inc. in New Orleans, LA is seeking a Mixer Helper to assist the mixer operator and ensure proper preparation of doughs according to formula and standards. The role supports production flow and quality, with on-site responsibilities and safety compliance.

Qualifications

• One or more years of production experience and basic knowledge of mixer procedures.
• No educational prerequisite; however must have demonstrated ability to read, comprehend and record necessary information applicable to job.

Responsibilities

• Helps ensures consistency on all doughs by proper scaling and time and temperature control according to production standards.
• Helps maintains schedule by mixing dough efficiently and to dividers on time in order to maintain production flow.
• Maintains record of temperature of dough mixing, times and other required data.
• Programs dough batches into computer.
• Maintains cleanliness of work area.
• Practices and complies with all Company policies and procedures including safety and work rules etc.
• Assists moving dough through from mixer to dough chutes or moves dough to winching device for transport to dough trough.
• Assists in loading mixer with flour, yeast, etc.
• Performs other duties as directed by supervision
