Job summary

J&J Snack Foods in Rock Island, IL is seeking a Mixer for the 1st shift to produce dough batches by following approved formulas. You will operate industrial mixers, measure ingredients, and keep accurate records of materials and batch data.

This full-time role requires English reading/writing, legible handwriting, basic math, and the ability to lift 50-pound bags and move dough troughs. You’ll report to the Production Supervisor and help maintain smooth, on-time production.

Qualifications

• Must have English reading and writing skills; legible handwriting and basic math.
• High school diploma or GED preferred but not required.

Responsibilities

• Follow formulas to produce dough batches and maintain consistency.
• Measure and add ingredients per formulas and record data.
• Record ingredients and production information for traceability.
• Operate industrial mixers and supporting equipment.
• Move dough troughs and lift 50-lb bags up to four feet.
• Report mechanical or process discrepancies to supervisor.
• Keep work area organized and communicate with staff.
