Job summary

OPCO Skilled Management is seeking a Certified Medication Aide to work under the direct supervision of the charge nurse in a Dallas facility. You will assist with medication passes and maintain documentation to support quality resident care.

The role requires English communication skills, prior patient care experience, and an active Medication Aide certification. You will participate in trainings and meetings as required to ensure compliance and high standards of care.

Responsibilities

• Reports promptly any change of patient condition or concerns to the Patient Care Supervisor.
• Follows charting guidelines for PRN documentation.
• Reports medication reorder.
• Participates in meetings, trainings, and in-service as required.
• Maintains inventory documentation of drugs on appropriate forms.
• Current certification for Medication Aide is maintained.

POSITION DESCRIPTION:

A CMA is under the direct supervision of the charge nurse. The charge nurse will follow up with the CMA to ensure the med pass is completed timely and accurately to assure that the highest degree of quality resident care can be maintained at all times.

QUALIFICATIONS :

• Ability to communicate effectively in English through both speech and writing.
• Previous patient care experience preferred.
• Current certification for Medication Aide.
