Job summary

Akkodis is seeking an experienced software engineering professional to join a growing team focused on building modern, scalable applications. The role emphasizes shaping a new engineering organization, influencing architecture, and leveraging cloud and AI technologies.

You will design, develop, and maintain enterprise-grade applications, partnering with cross-functional teams to deliver high-quality software in an agile environment. Strong .NET, AI, and full-stack capabilities are required.

Qualifications

• Strong experience building scalable and modular applications using C# and .NET Core.
• Full stack development with Blazor, React, Angular, or Vue.
• Hands-on use of AI-assisted development tools for code generation, review, testing, and refactoring.
• Strong OOP and design patterns knowledge.
• EF Core, data modeling, migrations, LINQ, performance optimization.
• Advanced SQL Server skills including scripting and query tuning.
• Azure Functions or serverless tech experience.
• Responsive UI with Bootstrap or similar.
• Git, CI/CD, and collaborative workflows.
• Experience in Agile/Scrum environments and delivering complex software.
• Experience with LLMs, prompt engineering, RAG, semantic search, and vector DBs.
• Experience with AI-enabled workflows and automation.
• Knowledge of Azure AI Foundry, Azure OpenAI Service, and AI/ML frameworks.

We are seeking an experienced software engineering professional to join a growing team focused on building modern, scalable applications within a highly collaborative and innovation-driven environment. This is an opportunity to help shape a newly formed engineering organization, influence architectural decisions, and contribute to the development of next‑generation solutions leveraging cloud and AI technologies.

Pay rate: $120-$140K. The rate may be negotiable based on experience, education, geographic location, and other factors.

In this role, you will design, develop, and maintain enterprise‑grade applications while partnering closely with cross‑functional teams to deliver high‑quality software solutions. The ideal candidate brings strong full stack .NET development experience, a passion for building applications from the ground up, and a demonstrated ability to leverage AI technologies within a professional development environment.

Key Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and maintain scalable, modular applications using C# and .NET Core.
• Build and enhance modern web applications using Blazor Server, Blazor WebAssembly, or comparable front‑end frameworks.
• Leverage AI‑assisted development tools such as GitHub Copilot, Cursor, Claude Code, or similar technologies to improve code quality, testing, refactoring, and development efficiency.
• Design and optimize data models, database schemas, and application performance using Entity Framework Core and SQL Server.
• Develop and maintain serverless applications using Azure Functions or comparable technologies.
• Create responsive and intuitive user interfaces using Bootstrap or similar CSS frameworks.
• Translate business requirements into scalable and maintainable technical solutions within Agile teams.
• Design, build, and support AI‑enabled applications, intelligent workflows, and agent‑based solutions.
• Evaluate and implement AI‑augmented software development lifecycle (SDLC) practices.
• Develop and maintain automated testing frameworks for UI, API, and database validation using Playwright and related technologies.
• Participate in sprint planning, code reviews, CI/CD processes, testing initiatives, and collaborative software delivery activities.
• Troubleshoot application, performance, testing, and automation framework issues.
• Collaborate with engineering, product, and business stakeholders to drive continuous improvement and successful project outcomes.

Required Qualifications

Core Development & SDLC

• Strong experience building scalable and modular applications using C# and .NET Core.
• Full stack development experience with at least one modern front‑end framework such as Blazor, React, Angular, or Vue.
• Hands‑on experience using AI‑assisted development tools for code generation, review, testing, and refactoring.
• Strong knowledge of object‑oriented programming principles and software design patterns.
• Expertise with Entity Framework Core, data modeling, migrations, LINQ, and performance optimization.
• Advanced SQL Server experience including scripting, indexing, query tuning, and execution plan analysis.
• Experience with Azure Functions or comparable serverless technologies.
• Experience developing responsive user interfaces using Bootstrap or similar frameworks.
• Familiarity with Git, CI/CD pipelines, and collaborative development workflows.
• Experience working within Agile/Scrum environments and delivering complex software solutions.
• Experience with large language models (LLMs), prompt engineering, retrieval‑augmented generation (RAG), semantic search, vector databases, and agentic AI patterns.
• Hands‑on experience building AI‑enabled workflows, agents, or automation solutions.
• Knowledge of Azure AI Foundry, Azure OpenAI Service, and modern AI/ML frameworks.
• Experience designing and optimizing AI‑augmented SDLC workflows with measurable business impact.
• Ability to assess AI‑generated outputs, identify limitations, and mitigate associated risks.

Test Automation & Quality Engineering

• Experience with test parallelization, test data management, and flaky‑test triage.
• Preferred experience with Playwright for UI, API, and database testing.
• Preferred experience with performance testing tools such as Artillery, JMeter, K6, or Locust.
• Preferred experience working within risk‑based, automation‑first engineering environments.

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience within banking, financial services, fintech, or other regulated industries.
• Understanding of compliance‑driven development practices and regulatory considerations.
• Familiarity with MediatR, Clean Architecture, Fluxor, Polly, and similar architectural patterns.
• Experience with containerization and orchestration technologies such as Docker and Kubernetes.
• Experience making architecture and design decisions for enterprise‑scale applications.
• Proven ability to communicate technical decisions, project ownership, and business impact to stakeholders.
