Job summary

Qualifications

• Minimum of 3 years of experience developing and maintaining applications using .NET technologies.
• Experience with C#, ASP.NET Core, .NET Framework or .NET Core, Entity Framework, RESTful APIs, and OO programming concepts.
• Experience writing, testing, debugging, and maintaining scalable enterprise code.
• Proficient with Visual Studio and source-control tools (Git, Azure DevOps, TFS) and sql databases.
• Ability to translate business requirements into technical solutions and communicate with stakeholders.
• Familiarity with secure coding practices and production support.

Responsibilities

The Dotnet Developer, .NET Developer will design, develop, enhance, and maintain secure, scalable, and high-performing applications using the Microsoft .NET framework. This role supports the full software development lifecycle, including requirements analysis, solution design, coding, testing, troubleshooting, deployment support, and ongoing application maintenance. The developer will collaborate with technical and functional stakeholders to deliver reliable software solutions that align with business needs, coding standards, security requirements, and operational expectations.

Key Responsibilities

• Develop, enhance, and maintain back-end application code using .NET, ASP.NET Core, C#, Entity Framework, and related Microsoft development technologies.
• Design and implement application components, APIs, services, data access layers, and integrations that support business and technical requirements.
• Write clean, reusable, efficient, and well-documented code that follows established development standards, secure coding practices, and source-control procedures.
• Collaborate with business analysts, project managers, testers, architects, and other developers to define requirements, estimate work, resolve issues, and deliver quality software releases.
• Troubleshoot, debug, test, and resolve application defects using tools such as Visual Studio, logging frameworks, debugging utilities, and cloud-based monitoring capabilities.
• Support application deployment, configuration, maintenance, and performance tuning across development, testing, staging, and production environments.
• Participate in code reviews, peer reviews, unit testing, documentation updates, and continuous improvement activities to strengthen application quality and maintainability.
• Assist with cloud-hosted application development and modernization efforts, including solutions hosted in AWS environments when applicable.

Required Qualifications

• Minimum of 3 years of experience developing and maintaining applications using .NET technologies.
• Hands-on experience with C#, ASP.NET Core, .NET Framework or .NET Core, Entity Framework, RESTful APIs, and object-oriented programming concepts.
• Experience writing, testing, debugging, and maintaining scalable application code in an enterprise development environment.
• Experience using Visual Studio and source-control tools such as Git, Azure DevOps, Team Foundation Server, or similar platforms.
• Working knowledge of relational databases, SQL queries, stored procedures, data modeling concepts, and application data access patterns.
• Ability to analyze business requirements, translate them into technical solutions, and communicate effectively with technical and non-technical stakeholders.
• Familiarity with application troubleshooting, defect resolution, unit testing, system integration testing, and production support practices.
• Understanding of secure application development practices, including authentication, authorization, input validation, error handling, and protection of sensitive data.

Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, Software Engineering, Information Systems, or a related field from an accredited institution is preferred. Equivalent professional experience, technical training, or relevant certifications may be considered in lieu of a degree.

At least 3 years of professional experience in .NET application development, including experience supporting development, testing, troubleshooting, and maintenance activities in a team-based environment.

Required Certifications

Certifications are preferred but not required. Relevant certifications may include AWS certifications, CompTIA Security+, Microsoft Certified: Azure Developer Associate, Microsoft Certified: Azure Fundamentals, or other software development, cloud, or security-related credentials.

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience developing, deploying, or supporting applications in AWS cloud environments.
• Experience with CI/CD pipelines, build and release processes, automated testing, and DevOps practices.
• Familiarity with Agile development methodologies, sprint planning, backlog refinement, user stories, and iterative delivery.
• Experience modernizing legacy applications, refactoring code, improving performance, or migrating applications to cloud or modern .NET platforms.
• Knowledge of web application security, identity and access management, API security, and secure software development lifecycle practices.
• Strong analytical, problem-solving, communication, and documentation skills.
