Job summary

Cable-East, Inc. is seeking a DOT Driver & Construction Laborer to support telecommunications crews in Statham, GA. You will operate DOT trucks, assist with trenching, conduit placement, and cable pulling, and help with site restoration under the supervision of the Construction Foreman.

The role is full-time, Monday–Friday, 6:00 a.m. to 4:30 p.m., with potential overtime and travel as needed. A High School Diploma or GED and a valid CDL Class C are required, along with the ability to pass DOT

Qualifications

High School Diploma or GED required.
Valid Class C CDL with clean driving record.
Must pass DOT English proficiency exam.
1–2 years construction/utility experience preferred.
Must pass pre-hire and ongoing DOT physical & drug screenings.
Ability to lift up to 50 pounds and work long shifts in outdoor conditions.

Responsibilities

Safely operate Company DOT trucks and fleet vehicles to and from job sites.
Perform pre-trip and post-trip inspections and report safety concerns.
Assist with underground and aerial telecommunications construction tasks (trenching, conduit, cable pulling).
Hand-dig around utilities and support safe excavation practices.
Load/unload materials and operate hand tools and small power tools.
Follow Foreman directions and maintain site cleanliness and safety.
