Job summary

Sysco Central California, Inc. is seeking an Operations Clerk in the Transportation department to handle clerical duties and ensure DOT compliance. You will manage driver paperwork, logs, manifests, and vehicle inspections.

This role requires attention to detail, reliability, and strong written and verbal communication. You will support drivers and supervision to keep deliveries moving smoothly in a high-volume operation.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED or equivalent.
• 2 years distribution/transportation experience in a high-volume operation preferred.
• Valid Driver License.

Responsibilities

• Gather, organize and process driver daily paperwork, logs, manifest, vehicle inspection, etc.
• Answer phones, route calls and take messages.
• Research short on truck that driver’s call in.
• Respond to delivery associate issues and provide support for a resolution.
• Create Driver Qualification files and maintain DOT documents.
• Monitor and review driver logs and violations via Telogis.
• Run daily reports for transportation supervisors.
• Monitor Drive Cam events for coaching and signatures.
• Backup for New Driver DOT Training.
• Perform all other tasks as assigned by supervision or management.
