Penn Medicine is seeking a full-time Dosimetrist Treatment Planner at our Perelman Center for Advanced Medicine.

  • This position will be 50% onsite and 50% remote (Hybrid)

Summary:

  • The Medical Dosimetrist will participate in patient treatment by preparing procedures and producing treatment plans for precise radiation therapy.

Responsibilities:

  • Procedure Preparation: Coordinate treatment simulations and tumor localization using CT, MRI, and PET, perform multi-modality image fusion.
  • Produce Treatment Plans: Design treatment plans using computer/manual calculations to deliver prescribed radiation doses, considering dose-limiting structures and documenting plans per departmental policy.
  • Design, Fabrication, and Fit: Supervise or assist in fabricating beam-modifying devices, immobilization devices, and supervise treatment implementation.
  • Analysis and Evaluation: Perform dose calculations, verify accuracy, and document in patient records.
  • Interpersonal Interactions: Teach, participate in research, and engage in continuing education.
  • Equipment Maintenance and Inventory Control

Credentials:

  • Medical Dosimetrist Certification (Required)

Education or Equivalent Experience:

  • Bachelor of Arts or Science, or extensive work experience for non-BS candidates.
