Job summary

Sanford Health in Sioux Falls, SD seeks a dosimetrist to generate precise dose distributions and isodose plans under the direction of a radiation oncologist and medical physicist. You will work within a multidisciplinary team to deliver personalized treatment and ensure accurate documentation in the electronic record.

The ideal candidate has a MDCB certification or eligibility within three years, and a JRCERT-accredited degree in radiation therapy, radiation science, or radiography.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s Degree in Radiation Therapy, Radiation Science, or Radiography with a JRCERT-accredited program of at least 12 months.
• New grads or non-certified with two years' experience as a medical dosimetrist may be considered.
• Certified Medical Dosimetrist or eligible certification within three years of hiring is required.

Responsibilities

• Generates dose distributions accurately and calculates computerized isodose plans as prescribed by a radiation oncologist.
• Computes radiation dose distributions, generates isodose curves, and documents in the radiation oncology electronic record effectively.
• May provide direction or assistance with challenging simulation setups or custom treatment devices.
• Consults with and works as part of a radiation oncology team to deliver individualized treatment.

Bachelor’s Degree in Radiation Therapy/ Radiation Science / Radiography (JRCERT accredited, 12 months)
