Job Description Summary
The successful candidate will work with a team comprising two radiation oncologists, one medical physicist, another dosimetrist, and seven radiation therapists. Responsibilities include contouring normal structures, creating treatment plans using conformal, IMRT, and VMAT techniques, and collaborating with physicians and physicists to ensure plans meet prescribed target and OAR metrics. The role also involves participating in CT simulations and clinical setups on linacs to ensure proper patient positioning for treatments.

This department utilizes two Varian Truebeam linear accelerators, a Siemens CT simulator, the Varian Eclipse treatment planning system, and ARIA record and verify software. MUSC Health Tidelands Health Radiation Therapy Center, located in Murrells Inlet, SC, is jointly operated by the Medical University of South Carolina and Tidelands Health hospital system. It is an ACR-accredited, NCI-designated cancer center situated on the Southeast Atlantic coast, offering a variety of amenities and activities in a pleasant setting.
