Job summary

BayCare Health System, Morton Plant Hospital in Clearwater, FL, is seeking a Dosimetrist to join our radiation oncology team. This full-time position involves treatment planning, simulations, and quality assurance.

The ideal candidate has a graduate Medical Dosimetry program, CMD and BLS licensure, and at least 6 months of dosimetry experience; 3 years in cancer services or radiation preferred. BayCare offers a competitive benefits package and professional growth opportunities.

Qualifications

• CMD (Certified Medical Dosimetrist) licensure required.
• BLS (Basic Life Support) certification required.
• Graduate of a Medical Dosimetry Program.
• 6 months of dosimetry experience.

Responsibilities

• Performs and participates in simulation dose computations, isodose plans, immobilization and other aspects of treatment planning for patients receiving external beam radiation therapy.
• Enters dosimetry charges into the system and all treatment calculations into the treatment chart.
• Documents patient information, prepares treatment parameters, and validates treatment records.
• Ensures accurate charges for treatment planning and physics services, enters treatment calculations into the billing system.
• Uses patient identifiers, standard safety precautions, and monitors compliance with quality assurance and regulatory requirements.
