Job summary

McLaren Health Care in Grand Blanc, MI, seeks a Medical Dosimetry professional to provide treatment planning services for radiation oncology cases. The role includes contouring, image registration, and collaboration with therapy, physics, and physicians to optimize patient care.

Required: Bachelor's degree in medical dosimetry or related field and board certification within two years of hire. Preference for AAMD membership. Schedule: Full-time, 8:00 a.m. - 4:00 p.m.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in medical dosimetry or related field (Associate’s Degree or Technical Diploma in Radiation Therapy if received prior to 2017) or in the final 6 months of clinical rotations of a dosimetry program.
• Board certification within two years of hiring; candidates hired before graduation may be granted an extension.
• Active member of the American Association of Medical Dosimetrists (AAMD) preferred.

Responsibilities

• Designs external beam treatment plans to deliver prescribed dose while minimizing exposure to surrounding tissue.
• Identifies and contours organs at risk for plan optimization.
• Performs image registration and fusion for diagnostic studies and prior CT simulations.
• Guides CT/clinical simulations and treatment plan implementation, including immobilization devices and motion management.
• Coordinates planning workflow with therapy, physics, and physicians.
