Job summary

Providence is seeking a qualified Medical Dosimetrist to support precise treatment plans and dosimetry for radiation therapy under clinical supervision. The role involves assisting the physicist in dosages for brachytherapy and ensuring compliance with Federal, State, and Joint Commission standards.

Required qualifications include MDCB CMD eligibility, and ARRT/CRT licensure, with a preferred 1 year as a Certified Dosimetrist.

Job description

Under the direction of the Director/Manager and clinical oversight of the Physicist, and with latitude for independent judgment, ensures precise and accurate treatment plans, dose calculations, and dosimetry considerations for patients undergoing radiation therapy. Assists the physicist in calculating dosages for brachytherapy procedures. Acts in compliance with Federal, State, and Joint Commission standards. Performs duties under minimum supervision.

Required Qualifications:

• Must meet the education requirements of the Medical Dosimetry Certification Board (MDCB) for Certified Medical Dosimetrists (CMDs).
• Upon hire: National Certified Medical Dosimetrist - Medical Dosimetrist Certification Board.
• 3 yearsworking as an ARRT or CRT licensed technologist.

Preferred Qualifications:

• 1 yearas a Certified Dosimetrist.
